SDG and Her

The World Bank Group in partnership with UNDP, UN Women, and the Wharton School’s Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research established global annual award to celebrate winners of the “SDGs and Her” competition for women entrepreneurs whose businesses help achieve the SDGs.

In 2019 Green Business Innovation, owned by Saida Yusupova from Uzbekistan was selected as one of the two winners from a pool of over 1,200 entries from all regions of the world through a rigorous three-stage judging process. Senior officials from the partner organizations, representatives of the WBG member countries, and gender activists participated at the Award Ceremony on April 11, 2019, at the World Bank Group-International Monetary Fund Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C.
